OCF Announces New North American OCF Chaplain

 

Fishers, IN – September 15, 2009

Orthodox Christian Fellowship welcomes Fr. James Coles as the newest North American OCF Chaplain.  Fr. James is currently the pastor at St. Ignatius Antiochian Orthodox Mission in Mesa, AZ. Fr. James and his wife Karen live in Phoenix and have three children. He is an avid hiker, chess player, skateboarder, blogger (http://frjamescoles.wordpress.com), and has been working with youth and young adults in a full-time or volunteer capacity since 1990.  He is also the local Spiritual Advisor for the OCF chapter at Arizona State University. Fr. James who was a classmate with OCF Executive Director, Fr. Kevin Scherer at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary said, “I’m really looking forward to working with Fr. Kevin and the staff to help strengthen the local chapter experience for students.” Fr. James’ responsibilities will include working with OCF Spiritual Advisors across the country to improve networking and local chapter resources. Fr. Kevin said that, “Fr. James is a perfect fit for the ministry.  He is known and loved by our staff and students, and has been a regular conference and retreat speaker for years.”
