ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
“Keeping our College Students Connected to the Church”
Orthodox Christian Evangelism Conference is now FREE!
Fishers, IN – October 6, 2010
The Department of Missions and Evangelism of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America announces that the Orthodox Conference on Missions and Evangelism, scheduled for October 15-17 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is being offered free to all! Conference presentations and workshops are designed to help participants better understand and articulate the Christian Gospel as understood by the Orthodox Church, and learn how to share the gospel of the Kingdom of God with others.
Due to the generosity and vision of a few sponsors, we now are able to open the Conference to everyone at no cost,” said Howard Lange, conference coordinator. “We want as many people as possible to take advantage of this very important educational event. Non-Orthodox Christians who would like to learn more about our Faith also are welcome! We will ask for a free-will offering, mainly to help cover the cost of meals.”While it is expected that most Conference participants will be local to the Grand Rapids area, those coming from out of town are reminded that they still must arrange and cover their own lodging and travel expenses.
Presenters include Fr. Nicholas Triantafilou (President of Holy Cross Seminary), Fr. Peter Gillquist, Fr. Wilbur Ellsworth, and Deacon Michael Hyatt (President and CEO of Thomas Nelson, Inc, the world's largest publisher of Bibles and Christian books. Dn. Michael will lead an outreach seminar on Saturday evening of the Conference at 8:00pm, “The Predenominational Christ for a Post-denominational America.”
Participants still are asked to register. Full details regarding the Orthodox Conference on Missions and Evangelism are available at www.antiochian.org/missions/conference. If there are any further questions please call 805-685-8999.
The Conference is presented by the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese Department of Missions and Evangelism, and endorsed by the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC).
