Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry Offers Summer Volunteer Internship
May 30, 2011 -- Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM) in Flying HIlls, Penn. is looking to fill a summer (Jun-Aug) volunteer intern position. This person will join us in the ministry of loving and caring for our brothers and sisters in jail/prison and promoting prison ministry at the national level. Responsibilities include: assisting with coordination of programs including some prison ministry correspondence programs, connecting Orthodox clergy with people in prison, the "Remember Kate" project and some clerical/administrative work. The candidate must possess an interest in learning how to love people who are in conflict with the law and society at large, have a willingness to learn how to represent the Orthodox Christian Church in the criminal justice field, be organized, command good telephone skills and an eye for detail.
