St Lydia's Book Club To Launch Orthodox Writers and Readers Series
Brookline, MA - August 27, 2011
On September 1, Melinda Johnson, an Orthodox Christian writer, editor and author of Letters to Saint Lydia, will be launching "Orthodox Writers and Readers," a series on Saint Lydia's Book Club (http://melindasmailbox.wordpress.com) . It will feature Orthodox writers from all over the USA, and from Canada, the UK, and Palestine who will be writing about what it's like for them personally to live the Orthodox writing life. They'll be talking about what motivates them, how they write, what they're working on, and any special experiences they've had as an Orthodox writer.
The first guest, on September 1, will be Molly Sabourin, the author of Close to Home (the book, the blog, and the Ancient Faith Radio podcast).Over the course of the one year program, two guests will be featured each month. The guests will be from diverse backrounds. Some write books, some blog, one is a human rights activist in Palestine and another is an Army intelligence specialist who makes Orthodox YouTube videos.
All budding writers, avid readers, booklovers, or those looking for a great conversation with kindred spirits are encouraged to participate.
