OCF Great Lakes Region to Host Lenten Retreat!

Brookline, MA – March 14, 2012 -  The OCF National Office has received the following information regarding the OCF Great Lakes Region's upcoming Lenten Retreat at The Dormition of the Holy Mother of God in Rives Junction, Michigan from Friday March 30 - Sunday April 1, 2012. All interested college students are invited to attend.

Theme: "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me,if you have understanding" (Job 38:4)

Reflections on Technology in the Light of Humility

Speaker: Dr. Gayle Woloschak

Dr. Woloschak is a well known speaker in the Orthodox community and is a Professor at Northwestern University.

Other speakers include: V. Rev. Mother Abbess Gabriella and Mother Macrina.

***All spots in the guest house are currently filled, but people are still encouraged and WELCOME to attend and can stay at a local hotel, or just
commute if from the Michigan area. Information for local hotels can be found at:

COST: $25 for commuters, $35 for staying in the guesthouse

Cost includes: speaker stipend, all meals, hospitality from the monastery.

5:00pm: Dinner
6:00pm: Vigil
After Vigil: fellowship with retreat participants

9:00am: Akathist to Jesus Christ and Hours
10:00am: Holy Liturgy
11:30am/12:00pm: Lunch
After Lunch: farewell!
