OCF Pacific Northwest Region to Host Spiritual Retreat!
Brookline, MA – March 14, 2012 - The Pacific Northwest Region is offering a retreat to OCF chapters and young adults, In View of God's Mercy, Offer Your Bodies as Living Sacrifices: A Study in Romans for Today's Christian.
Keynote speakers include Richard Benton who holds a PhD in Old Testament and Hebrew and teaches religion at the Evergreen State College and Fr. Stephen Soot, the Northwest Regional OCF Chaplain and priest of St. Anne's Orthodox Church in Corvallis, Oregon. April 20-22, 2012, at the All Saints Camp in Gig Harbor, Washington.
Additional workshops will be offered by Northwest clergy including Destructive and Addictive Behaviors: Seeking Help for You or Your Friends and Living in Honesty by Abbot Tryphon of the All-Merciful Saviour Monastery, and Orthodox Life and Career Planning by Fr. James Baglien of St. Martin's Orthodox Church. Young adults, age 18-25ish, are welcome to attend, including graduating high school seniors. Northwest area clergy and those who minister to young adults are also encouraged to attend.
