Are you an OCF Student looking for a Internship? Here are a few that are available. If we can help open a door for you, please let us know!

Internship Opportunity with Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry

The Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM) is looking for students to join us in getting the word out about our organization. The best candidates would be marketing-minded with good telephone skills and an eye for detail. We need someone to assist with the development and design of our marketing materials (sponsor book, display booth and press package materials), to call current contacts, update our directory and invite them to our upcoming convocation in July. This is a non-salaried internship but the rewards are eternal :-) Please contact Laura Walker at 610-916-6220.

Correspondents Wanted for Orthodox Observer

The Orthodox Observer, the official newspaper of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, is considering creating a network of special correspondents to contribute news articles of a general, non-theological nature in the various metropolises of the Archdiocese. Potential contributors must be members of OCF and majoring in either journalism or public relations at the undergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or graduate levels. Photographic coverage of events also would be welcome.

Contributors can gain practical reporting and photographic experience through publication in the Observer, which has a circulation of about 160,000 throughout the United States and also reaches Orthodox Christians in about 20 other countries.

If interested in receiving further details, contact the editor in chief, Jim Golding at jim@goarch.org or 212.570.3557.

Lived Theology School Opportunity

Lived Theology School - St Maria Of Paris, Toronto

The Lived Theology School (LTS) at St. John the Compassionate Mission in Toronto, Canada, offers a unique opportunity to experience, for a year, a life where a reflective mission-oriented study of theology, living the liturgical life of the Church, doing practical hands-on mission work and living in community are all integrated.

The Interns of LTS are accompanied by Father Roberto, founder of St. John the Compassionate Mission and Rector of LTS, and Sub-deacon Pawel, Prefect of the school. There is no other place right now in North America that provides this kind of experience. The students at the end of this year will have a very comprehensive understanding of what Orthodox mission means in our cultural context and how it can be integrated in the life of the Orthodox Church.

LTS also offers possibilities for short-term working guest volunteers. See the website for details.

www.livedtheologyschool.org

Raphael House Live-in Volunteer Internships

Raphael House of San Francisco is a unique family shelter with a live-in Orthodox Christian community dedicated to the service of our families. The live-in community at Raphael House provides 3-9 month opportunities where interns are able to gain knowledge of the shelter as a whole and live in a unique community dedicated to the long term success of our families.

The Live-In Volunteer Program is open to men and women age 18 and older who are interested in combining prayer life and study of Eastern Orthodox Christianity with direct service to families in crisis. Please note that while a prayer life is a central tenant of the live-in community, we do not place any religious requirements on the families we serve.

We welcome students and recent graduates who would like to have a meaningful volunteer internship working with homeless families or in our children's program.

Raphael House has hosted Orthodox Christian young people from around the world, including Germany, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Ireland, Tasmania, Australia, Canada, and many parts of the United States.

If you are interested in learning more about this distinctive opportunity, please visit http://www.raphaelhouse.org/volunteer/live-in-volunteers.html or contact OCF Alum Erin Bernard at ebernard@raphaelhouse.org.
