...each year 800,000 to 900,000 human beings are bought, sold, and trafficked across international borders?
...40 million people live with HIV/AIDS - most of them unaware?
...1 billion adults are illiterate - 2/3 of them women?
...850 million people are chronically undernourished?
...25% of the world faces a severe housing crisis?
As Christians, how are we to respond to these facts? More specifically, where do we start? The Gospels provide a clear answer: Just Love the neighbor the Christ places before you each moment of your life.
Just Love retreats allow college students to spend the day serving, meeting the poor in their communities, learning about the complexity of poverty, and reflecting on how to respond daily to the broken world around us with the love of Christ. It is an opportunity for college students to get out of their comfort zones and put into practice Christ's Great Commandment to love their neighbor as themselves. Come join us as we reflect on what it means to live our entire lives in service to the "least of these" (Mt. 25:40).
