...4 billion people live on less than two dollars a day?
...36,000 children die every day?
...there are 300,000 children soldiers fighting around the world?
...each year 800,000 to 900,000 human beings are bought, sold, and trafficked across intenational borders?
...40 million people live with HIV/AIDS - most of them unaware?
...1 billion adults are illiterate - 2/3 of them women?
...850 million people are chronically undernourished?
...25% of the world faces a severe housing crisis?
Come experience the reality. Join us for the first annual Pilgrimage for Justice, a weekend of hands-on, experiential immersion and service learning activities. As we are immersed into the realities of the poor, marginalized, and persecuted, we will be moved to action as Christ's servants. We will reflect on what it means to be disciples of Christ in our broken world, while at the same time being Christ's ambassadors to the broken world around us.
Dates: June 5 - 8, 2009 (Pentecost weekend)
