The Texas A&M OCF chapter has had an active and fruitful spring, especially during Great Lent, with activities helping the group to grow in many ways.
In keeping with the Lenten goals of striving to grow in prayer and worship, our regular meetings have included communal meals held after Presanctified Liturgy services at a local parish. All the members are very grateful for the generous support of parents from parishes around the state of Texas that have provided the financial support for these meals!
Lent is also a time to share with others, and members of the chapter participated in the Aggie "Big Event" program, a university-wide service project in which students go out into the local community to help others in need. This year, the OCFers worked at the home of a local resident to help with some home maintenance chores. The chapter also has a big project coming up, as the Aggie OCF is organizing the regional retreat for next fall, and the student leaders have already begun working on this exciting task.
