My fellow OCF alumni,

Firstly, I would like to formally introduce and update you all on the OCF Alumni Network.  The OCF AN has grown out of a proposal approved by the Board of Directors in December 2012 for an alumni component in OCF.  The exact structure and content of alumni programming is yet to be determined, but we are currently in the middle of facilitating a series of focus groups in several cities across the US in order to ascertain what expectations alumni have for the OCF AN. 

Ideally we would like to have programs that both support local OCF chapters and connect the network of OCF alumni.  After successful sessions in Boston and Pittsburgh (hosted by Christina Andresen and Irene Papas respectively), the trend seems to be that alumni are interested in prioritizing undergraduate chapter support in their initial programming.  There are additional focus groups scheduled in the cities of Chicago, Dallas, San Diego, and Washington DC, but alumni are encouraged to take initiative in reaching out to their local chapters straight away.  As a direct result of the focus group in Boston, alumni from the Boston College OCF chapter have begun working with current undergraduates to set up a formal system of alumni support.
